The need for a secure and acceptable food supply that provides nutrition, and meets individual and collective needs, is a concern at local, regional, national and international levels. We bring together expertise from across the N8 universities in nutrition, health, behavioural and social sciences and policy to address these issues.

We focus on individual choices and the context in which they are made and place emphasis on the decision making and behaviour of actors along the production, distribution, consumption and disposal chain. Along with technical and policy approaches, it also emphasises social justice, equality of access, and stakeholder led solutions.
