Identification and analysis of risks across the value chain is a pre-requisite for developing a resilient and sustainable supply chain of the future. The AVCRA project aims to investigate the socio-environmental and geopolitical risk profile of UK agrifood value chains by employing a systems approach. This project is led by the University of Sheffield (Dr. Sonal Choudhary) in partnership with the Universities of Durham, Newcastle and Leeds and six industrial partners, Co-op Food, Quorn Foods, William Jackson Food Group, WRAP, Anthesis and Barefoot Lightning. The AVCRA project has been developed through a participatory approach and is co-designed by academics and the industrial partners.
