Professor of Socio-Technical Innovation Newcastle University

Mark is a Professor of Social Innovation at Newcastle University. He is based at the Institute for Agri-Food Research & Innovation and the Centre for Rural Economy in the School of Agriculture, Food and Rural Development, where he is Director of Impact and Engagement .

Mark is a Visiting Professor at University of Leeds and Birmingham City University. He is Research Manager for the International Union for the Conservation of Nature’s (IUCN) UK Peatland Programme. He runs a spin-out company, based on his research, training researchers how to embed impact in their research at: www.fasttrackimpact.com.
