BBC News turns to N8 AgriFood expertise for Farming Focus Week

BBC News has featured N8 AgriFood’s expertise in precision agriculture as part of its Farming Focus week.

News stations throughout the UK have been reporting dedicated farming features as the BBC shines the spotlight on issues facing agriculture.

As part of the Farming Focus Week, N8 AgriFood’s Chair and Academic Lead at the University of Manchester, Professor Bruce Grieve, has been interviewed about how advances in precision agriculture can help with global food security and climate change.

Applications open for N8 AgriFood’s new food policy internship in Westminster

Applications are now open for a Policy Internship Scheme in which N8 AgriFood will send a doctoral student to Westminster to produce a briefing on Resilient Food Systems Supply Chains.

The Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology (POST) runs a competitive Policy Internship process, offering a three-month placement to doctoral students with the chance to gain valuable policy experience.

N8 AgriFood has teamed up with POST to fund a placement under the topic of –

Countryfile Live heads North with N8 AgriFood joining the lineup

Countryfile Live has arrived in the North for the first time in the show’s history and N8 AgriFood is joining the lineup to share expertise in food and farming.

The four day event, linked to the popular BBC rural affairs series, was held in its usual Blenheim Palace home in Oxfordshire earlier this month, before making its debut in North Yorkshire at Castle Howard today.
