How to avoid diet related ill-health

Yo yo dieting and depriving yourself isn’t the key to a healthier diet – adding
nutrients is.

That is the message from N8 AgriFood nutrition expert Bernadette Moore, speaking in light of new research published this week, which revealed poor diet contributes to more adult deaths than tobacco, and high blood pressure.

The findings, published in the Lancet medical journal, were part of the Global Burden of Disease study by the Institute of Health Metrics and Evaluation in Seattle,

On Thursday 11th April, Durham University will host a series of talks, a workshop, a panel discussion and networking opportunities a part of its seminar, which features editorial speakers from two high impact factor ranked journals; New Phytologist and Cell Reports.

Inaugural UK Rice Research Consortium showcases work from across the N8

Research by one of N8 AgriFood’s chairs has been featured on the inaugural website of the newly established UK Rice Research Consortium.

The Consortium has been established to highlight the breadth and quality of rice research being undertaken within the UK, and to provide a focal point for building new networks both within the UK and with international partners.
